Planet3 Wireless Announces CWNP® Authorized Courseware Program

Giga-Wave, Security University, and Wireless-Nets kick-off third party
CWNP courseware development initiative

Atlanta, Georgia. - December 2, 2003 Planet3 Wireless, Inc., the creators of the industry standard CWNP® Program for wireless LAN training and certification, today announced the creation of the CWNP Authorized Courseware program. The CWNP Authorized Courseware program enables third-party courseware developers to create wireless LAN courseware based on the objectives for each of the CWNP certification exams. Giga Wave Technologies, Security University, and Wireless-Nets, Ltd. have already joined the CWNP Authorized Courseware program and produced their own courseware which covers the objectives for the CWNA wireless LAN administration certification exam.

"There are many organizations in the IT training business that can create high quality training courseware, and we want to give them the opportunity to develop wireless LAN courseware for CWNP training, including our wireless security course" says Kevin Sandlin, Planet3 Wireless CEO and co-founder. "This program is off to a great start with these first three partners - Giga Wave, Security University, and Wireless-Nets - already creating approved courseware."

Giga Wave's Cisco Aironet® Wireless LAN Fundamentals and Site Survey classes have both been approved and are now listed on the CWNP web site as official CWNA classes. Jim Geier's company, Wireless-Nets, Ltd., has created a CWNA computer based training product, which offers the entire CWNA curriculum on a CD, along with the CWNA Study Guide and practice test. Security University offers escalating real world security workshops to enhance the existing CWSP wireless security courseware.
