AIRESPACE PARTNERS WITH THE CWNP PROGRAM TO PROVIDE WORLD-CLASS WIRELESS EDUCATION

ATLANTA, Georgia December 14, 2004 - The CWNP Program, the industry standard for wireless LAN training and certification, today announced a partnership with Airespace, Inc., the leader in intelligent Wireless LAN (WLAN) systems, to further the development of key wireless skill sets for IT managers and network professionals. As part of this partnership, the Airespace Wireless Enterprise Platform will be used to demonstrate wireless mobility, security, and RF management in CWNP's hands-on training labs. In addition, all Airespace instructors will earn CWNP certification, and Airespace education will provide CWNP educational resources to all students to ensure that the company delivers the highest level of educational programs to customers and partners.

The CWNP Program was recently named one of the top 3 fastest growing certifications in the CRN 2004 Certification Study. Airespace joins over 20 industry leading wireless LAN vendors that recommend or require CWNP certification of their sales engineers and VARs.

"The demand for CWNP certifications continues to rise in a market place where wireless networks are growing at an astounding rate, and skilled individuals are needed to install, secure, and maintain them cost effectively," says Kevin Sandlin, CEO and co-founder of the CWNP Program. "Airespace is a great addition to the CWNP curriculum because their award winning technology gives CWNP students unique insight into how real enterprises can use RF management and wireless LAN security to support real business applications."

The Airespace Wireless Enterprise Platform is an end-to-end WLAN system that enables business critical wireless services. It consists of various intelligent hardware and software components that were designed from the ground up to meet individual enterprise requirements. These include centralized WLAN controllers, lightweight Access Points, and a robust WLAN management platform, called Airespace Control System (ACS) Software. With the Airespace WLAN system, students can plan and design a wireless network, create system-wide security and Quality of Service (QoS) policies, examine the effects that changing RF conditions can have on WLAN configuration, and use RF fingerprinting technology to locate mobile devices. The result is a complete WLAN experience - from planning and installation to infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting.

"The CWNP Program is the leader in the field of vendor-neutral WLAN education and certification," said Ralph Kapostins, manager of Education Services at Airespace. "Through this partnership, we can take our education services to the next level while simultaneously exposing IT managers to the benefits of an intelligent WLAN system. This type of cooperation facilitates the mass adoption of enterprise-class wireless networks."
