CWNP Program Updates Certification Requirements
Advanced Level Exams Now Available to All Candidates
ATLANTA, Georgia, August 8, 2005 - The CWNP Program, the industry standard for wireless LAN training and certification, today announced that the requirements for its CWAP Wireless LAN Analysis and CWSP Wireless LAN Security certifications are being changed to allow greater flexibility for IT professionals to take the exams and earn CWNP certifications.
The changes will allow networking professionals to take the exams required for each certification in any order. Previously, CWSP and CWAP certification candidates were required to pass the Wireless LAN Administration exam (PW0-100) before advancing to higher level exams.
"This is a change we've anticipated, and are excited about making, because the demand for advanced wireless certifications has increased so much," said Kevin Sandlin, CEO and co-founder of the CWNP Program. "Cisco and Microsoft have structured their certification programs in the same manner, and now CWNP candidates can have the same flexibility for their studying and testing schedules."
The exam requirements for each certification are:
CWNA: (1 exam)
CWSP: (2 exams)
CWAP: (2 exams)
CWNP certifications validate the wireless knowledge of networking professionals. CWNP certified professionals can install, secure, and maintain wireless networks for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as large enterprises.
