GI Bill Reimbursement Now Available for all CWNP Exams
ATLANTA, Georgia, November 21, 2005 - The CWNP Program, the industry standard for wireless LAN training and certification, today announced United States military veterans and their eligible dependents may now use their G.I. Bill benefits to cover the full cost of any current CWNP information technology (IT) certification exam.
The U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs and the U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Educational Support (DANTES) program has approved four CWNP certifications for reimbursement - Wireless#, CWNA, CWSP, and CWAP. Candidates are not limited on the number of tests that may be taken, except that an individual may not exceed his or her maximum entitlement of $2000 per test.
"Veterans and their dependents have a great opportunity to move into a career path in wireless networking," said Kevin Sandlin, CEO and Co-Founder of CWNP. "CWNP certification proves candidates have the skills and knowledge to work in wireless, and helps provide a competitive advantage when applying for jobs in both the public and private sectors."
CWNP is the world's largest developer of vendor-neutral IT certification exams for wireless networking. CWNP certifications are the recognized as the industry standard for validating knowledge in 802.11 wireless LAN technologies.
The new licensing and certification benefit is payable under Chapter 30 (Montgomery G.I. Bill-Active Duty), 32 (VEAP), and 35 (Dependents' Educational Assistance) of Title 38 and section 903 of PL 96-342. This benefit is not payable under Chapter 1606 of Title 10 (Montgomery G.I. Bill - Selected Reserve).
