CWNP Program Contributes to Government Excellence

Military Command Earns Award for Wireless Network Efforts

ATLANTA, Georgia, March 23, 2006 - The CWNP Program, the industry standard for wireless LAN training and certification, today announced the agency that won the Federal Leadership Council's Showcase of Excellence Award was helped by CWNPs.

U.S. Joint Forces Command's Joint Experimentation Directorate earned recognition at a major industry trade show for trailblazing work on creating a highly secure wireless network inside of the Joint Futures Laboratory facilities.

"Governments around the world are starting to recognize the benefits of certifying their employees with CWNP." said Kevin Sandlin, CEO and co-founder of the CWNP Program. "We are proud to have helped train some of the individuals who worked on this program, and look forward to helping educate government employees in the future."

The award was given for the secure wireless architecture of its WLAN. The WLAN features five layers of security, and is currently serving as a model to others within the government.
