CWNP and Bitcricket Partner for the Next Generation IP Subnet Calculator
Software utility handles both IPv4 and IPv6 addressing
ATLANTA, Georgia, December 10, 2007 - CWNP, the industry standard for LAN training and certification, has partnered with Bitcricket, a company specializing in critical application and network performance analysis, to deliver the next generation IP Subnet Calculator.
"The CWNP Next Generation IPv4/v6 IP Subnet Calculator, powered by Bitcricket, is feature-packed and completely free. It is the Swiss Army knife of IP network design, providing the most comprehensive set of IP calculator tools in a single application" said Devin Sandlin, CWNP Chief Executive Officer.
Input an IP address and choose one of the following: number of subnet bits, the maximum desired subnets, the number of host bits, or the maximum number of desired hosts. The calculator figures out the rest, giving you a bit-by-bit address visualization and generating a complete table of subnets.
"The Calculator is also the perfect tool for learning about and migrating to IPv6 addressing" noted Robert Bullen, Bitcricket's Chief Architect. For IPv6, simply input an address and the calculator shows you what type it is (ISATAP, Teredo Tunneling, IPv4-Mapped, etc.) and how it fits into the hierarchy of IPv6 addresses.
The IP Subnet Calculator is available for immediate download at www.cwnp.com
