Simulation Tools
Simulation software enables the analyst to create a model of a wireless
LAN that runs on a PC.  By plugging in parameters, such as utilization,
number of users, number of access points, and channel settings, a
simulation run produces reports that estimate throughput and delays.
The advantage of simulation is that it can be accomplished before
installing the network, making it an effective tool for use during the
design stage of a wireless LAN deployment project.  Continual use of
simulation throughout the operational phase of the wireless LAN can
also lend value when expanding the network.
