1. How do I register for an exam?

Learn how to register for a CWNP exam at either Pearson VUE or Prometric.

2. What is the exam-retake policy?

If you do not pass an exam the first time you take it, you may retake it at any time. If you do not achieve a passing score the second time, you must wait at least 5 days to retake the exam a third time. A 5-day waiting period will be imposed for all subsequent exam retakes. If you have passed an exam, you cannot take it again unless you are trying to become a CWNT and have received prior written permission from the CWNP Program. Beta exams may be taken only once.

3. English is not my first language. What options do I have for taking certification exams?

If English is your second language, you may request an additional 30 minutes to complete it. You must make this arrangement before appearing at the testing center. Please explain your needs when you register for the exam.

4. I have a disability that might affect my performance on a certification exam. What accommodations are available?

The CWNP Program is dedicated to developing technology that is useable and accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. If certification candidates are unable to take a CWNP exam, either by using standard testing equipment or within the standard exam duration, the CWNP Program is committed to making all reasonable efforts to accommodate these candidates. Please contact us with your request.
