    are you not able to utilise UNII2 aswell? Which county are you in? In the UK we have alot more than the 9 channels.

    If you channel bond 5.0GHz into 4 40MHz wide channels you will still have plenty of scope for a channel plan. Compare that to 2.4GHz where you only have 3 channels and everyone manages, just about!
