  • That is an excellent point. If there are two radios per AP, then gigabit uplinks would be required.

    I also have to share something that my students brought up last week. We were talking about controllers and it seemed to us that today's controllers are going to have to be replaced if/when 802.11n starts being the standard way to setup enterprise Wi-Fi. This certainly lends credence to the idea of going with standalone APs or unified LAN/WLAN switches rather than separate controller appliances because the upgrade should be less of a hassle. We'll see, though. Maybe today's controllers will be able to handle 802.11n as a simple AP upgrade.
