  • hello,

need clarification. based on my study this could be an error...

    page 195
"The MSK is the keying material that is derived from the EAP process and exported by the EAP method to the supplicant and authentication server"

    RFC4017 states:
    Master Session Key (MSK)
Keying material that is derived between the EAP peer and server
and exported by the EAP method. The MSK is at least 64 octets in
length. In existing implementations, an AAA server acting as an
EAP server transports the MSK to the authenticator.

    So shouldn't this read:

"The MSK is the keying material that is derived from the EAP process and exported by the EAP method to the supplicant and authenticator", not authentication server?
