  • Hi All,

I am analyzing a packet capture in wireshark and I am trying to find the exact channel width in use.

I know the radio tap header has this, but in this case, my capture device did not add the radio tap header.

    Any other accurate way?

I would recommend MetaGeek's InSSIDer program (which you can still find for free), or better yet their Chanalyzer program using the WiSpy DBX USB module.

Part of the problem comes from the phrase "in use".    Only a spectrum analyzer type device or report will tell you that.
