Now that Wi-Fi interfaces seem required on everything, some manufacturers are attempting to produce products, like printers, that ONLY have a Wi-Fi interface.

From a Product Evaluation/Quality  Assurance PoV, this is an insane idea.   Even if a device has a JTAG connector in it, attempting to qualify the device, from a QA perspective is just ridiculous.    The time required to validate one of these products is extended by MANY months.

Even if a device has only a few visible configuration controls the number of test iterations it must still go through, from a market place perspective, is tremendous.

If the QA ignorant designers who designed this garbage had to spend even two weeks performing a product qualification, under an already stressed deadline, maybe they would have a different attitude.

Just had to add my two cents regarding the concept.
