  • I seem to be having trouble visualizing the vertical and horizontal radiation patterns for antennas.

I have reviewed the CWNA book and found some tutorials but I am still not sure of the Antenna orientation sometimes when looking at radiation pattern pictures.

Has anyone found some details that have really helped them picture the horizontal and vertical patterns for basic WLAN antennas?

    Thanks in advance

check out the attached, which explains things about as simple as the study guide.

in radio systems, there is an electrical wave and a magenetic wave.

polarization is the vector or position of the electrical wave in relation to the beam being transmitted.

i don't want to say phase related, but vector, or orientation related to the beam.
