  • Federal authorities recently charged an international credit card theft ring called "Operation Get Rich or Die Tryin" for stealing data for at least 130 million credit and debit cards, the biggest identity theft case ever prosecuted in the United States. The suspects have been accused of using wireless scanners to find stores with vulnerable networks and then capture credit-card numbers, PINs, and other account information, amongst other attacks. These massive data breaches have questioned the efficacy of the Payment Card Industry's security standards.

  • Maybe it will get to the stage where we can't use credit cards at all, and will end up paying for everything with small change carried around in our pockets, like Kramer. Sounds like a good idea.....wonder if there are any drawbacks ?.........
