  • I am currently debating what path I should travel in regards to entering the wireless field.I want to get into either convergence or Wifi or even both.I have seen that the Cwna exam has upgraded and my question is what new topics has been added to the exam?..My second question is I have been watching this (CWNA) certification for some time and now I think is the time that wireless will have its biggest impact on the IT industry. The problem I have always encountered with this cert is that their is not a lot of information on the careers that consider this cert.I have seen telecom companies considering this cert.So what are the careers that consider this cert? Can this cert be used as a stand alone cert?

...you can download the objectives and the list of changes:

Absolutely! Being a vendor-neutral program, the CWNP certifications are applicable to any job using wireless and Wi-Fi. Of course, the more the merrier, so after you get the CWNA I recommend pursuing the professional level certifications, too. This will add to your value and credibility as a wireless professional.

I recommend you cruise around the CWNP site and check out the resources available here -- it's pretty awesome.
