  • Has anyone heard of this Leaky Cable stuff? It seems to be a good idea for hard to reach areas. Here is a link to a vendor. http://www.trilogycoax.com/products_wireless_radiating.shtml

I may try to test it for my company but I want to know if anyone has any experience with it.

  • I used it in a warehouse environment once. Worked great for the customer! The cable impedance is still 50 ohms too.

It's not something you need to use very often. When doing your site survey, there are rare times when an area can be more easily covered with this solution rather than patch, yagi or dipole antenna(s).

If you don't hire a contractor to install the cable, be sure to treat it with care. Unlike coffee that's good to the last drop, leaky cable is good to the first kink.
