  • Hi, hope everyone is OK,

My name is Paul and I will be soon finally taking the CWNA exam, well overdue!!!

    A bit about myself:

I have been a contractor in the midalnds (UK) for the last 18 months purely to get enough money to start my wireless business, the time has now come where i can take a few months off to concentrate on my company "HotSpot-Net LTD"

There are only two of us in the company and are both going for the CWNA and then hopefully progressing onto the CWSP as we would like to specialise in the security of wirless networks.

As a new business we are finding it hard to get clients, however we have had interest from the press and alot of encouragement from loved ones so we have every confidence in wireless and the need for high quality implementation and security methods put in place.

I presume alot of you guys have the same scenario in your lives so if you have any tips they would be greatly welcomed!

    Welcome Paul,

There is much help here. Wireless mobility is exploding globally and certifying yourself in a niche market is just plain smart. WLANs are evolving. The CWNP way of "working wireless" is the right fit for any company. You will not be disappointed!

  • Dont Worry Paul,

    Do your CWNA command Performance.
These certs will give you Lots of Confidence in Wlan.

Once you have CWNP certs you can really command
    Performance over other.

Once you are technically strong and know what your doing
    Customers will follow you.

  • Thanks for the welcome and the confidence boost!

If i were to pass my exam, would i be able to use the CWNA logo on my website to advertise the certification gained or are there restrictions??

  • Hi Paul, and welcome to the CWNP Forums! To answer your question on logo useage, please refer to this URL:

    http://www.cwnp.com/about/logo_guidelines.html

Is your new company going to be focused on the hotspot market? Just a guess due to its name.

Glad to have you on board, and look forward to working/speaking with you in the future!

  • When are you planning to take the test? How long have you prepared? And with what materials? Good luck.

  • I bought the CWNA bundle in early 2005 (exam, practice test and book) and have read the book and almost completed the review questions,, I am up to 96% on the 120 questions of the practice test, but i think the high score is down to knowing those questions inside out!!!

I am trawling the net for any other practice tests but i cant find anything without paying $39.99!!

I am looking at doing the exam in early April.

  • Paul,

After how many tries did you get 96% our of the 120 Questions in the Practice test.?

How many times did you take it?

Dont forget to read the Explanation for Every Q & A.

I think you should be good to take up the test now.

Feel free to post in this forum for Doubts.

    Best Regards,

  • i did the 60 question A&B 9 times in total and then did the 120 questions a couple of nights ago,

I'm sure i'll have some questions for you guys once i have an exam date and the nerves kick in!

  • Hi Paul,

    Your results are fine.
In the 10th attempt you were able to 96% in the practice test.

While taking the real CWNA Exam ,Make sure that you read the Question
    twice before answering the Question.

There might be few twists in the Questions Asked.

    Best Regards,
    S.Senthilraj
