  • Most would state about 30ms for VoIP roam time. However 20ms or less is better. Dropped or choppy calls result with the higher roam times. You are correct about data. It is more forgiving. This issue involves QoS and roaming. Unfortunately until everyone is using the long awaited 802.11r, vendors roam however they wish. Contact your 802.11 phone provider for their requirements.
