Is anyone having a problem with Intel-Pro 2100 3B Wireless LAN card? We issued new laptops with these cards and they are giving me a headache. They roam frequently and loose connection, and even though I adjust aggressive roaming it doesn?¡é?€??t always help.

    Intel's response:

The bigger problem is, some cards do not see the access points at all, while one client will associate to only one AP and does not see the others, and when it does associate to that one AP it does not show up on the association page or the log files. I know it sounds bizarre, but I tested it myself; I am using Cisco 1231APs

This may help explain some of the anomolies you are experiencing if multiple SSIDs are used if not then, I would contact Intel's Tech Support directly to see if there are different drivers for your device that will clear these symptoms.

Older software and changes in the technical standards in 802.11 are sometimes hard to overcome until you purchase the newer device engineered to overcome the older standards that a vendor will not upgrade based on costs.

Compatibility and interoperability in systems is a challenge!

    Again, hope this helps.
