    Grounding for all that energy (power ) is another factor to consider as well.

  • Very interesting points. I think this podcast is ahead of its time on PoE. When I train classes I find that PoE is still considered a relatively new technology. Many organizations either are just now installing PoE-capable APs or do not yet use APs with PoE.

    One suggestion I would make for the podcast is next time try to put the discussion in the context of Wi-Fi a bit more. There was a lot of great information in the podcast about PoE, but precious little on how this relates to Wi-Fi or how a network administrator could create an intelligent Wi-Fi network design to minimize potential PoE problems.
