bandwidth and throughput

Thanks for your reply.
But I still have doubts about what exactly bandwidth is. Let's suppose that my 802.11g network is operating at 12Mbs because of interference. In that case my data rate would be 12Mbs but what about the bandwidth. Is the bandwidth 12Mbs too ?
