Job Description:

Senior Level Wireless Network Engineer/Consultant positions are available for candidates with expertise in wireless networking to perform site surveys and wireless access point installations. The preferred location for these positions is in Arizona, Las Vegas, or Los Angeles.

Job Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for campus-wide WIRELESS design, implementation and support across many vertical markets including healthcare, education, enterprise and financial.

Conducts feasibility studies on strategic and tactical plans, design of digital/analog networks, and evaluation of network services/technology for current and future network development. Performs complex technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems, systems integration for front-end processors, multiplexes, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems. Plans, designs, and implements networked systems, including configurations, supporting/troubleshooting network problems and coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as routers, bridges, concentrators, switches and access points. Conducts analysis, prepares reports, and works on project implementation. Will serve as technical liaison with vendors.

Typically, the Specialist level provides professional experience in the development of innovative and cost-effective solutions to problems or design of complex integrated data processing and communication solutions. Technical expertise utilized in areas such as marketing, business acquisition and/or client support. Provides significant direction in areas such as research studies, tradeoff analysis, operation studies, design reviews, and technical briefings. Makes decisions on operating procedures, analytical approaches, and workflow. This includes exposure and subsequent usage of requirements analysis, cost-benefit analysis, human interface engineering, security analysis, test engineering, and performance analysis.

Implement 802.11 wireless networks for multiple vendor solutions. We are looking for a wireless resource with 802.11 Wireless Networking experience. Candidate should have knowledge and be able to troubleshoot from the desktop to the wireless network. Layer 1, 2, and 3 wired networking experience required.

Required Skills:
?¡é?€?¡é Requires 6+ years of progressive, related experience or any combination of education and experience
?¡é?€?¡é Proficiency with Cisco, Airespace, and Aruba WIRELESS deployments
?¡é?€?¡é Experience with site surveying for 802.11 a, b and g
?¡é?€?¡é Design, Implement and Troubleshoot WIRELESS infrastructure
?¡é?€?¡é Knowledge of IEEE 802.11 wireless standards.
?¡é?€?¡é Familiarity with wireless security and authentication mechanisms (802.1x, WPA, EAP protocols)
?¡é?€?¡é Sound knowledge of Internet protocols TCP/IP, PPP, L2TP, IPSEC, and Wireless LAN protocols such as 802.1x and EAP are a plus
?¡é?€?¡é Linux OS knowledge a plus
?¡é?€?¡é Experience deploying AirMagnet and AirDefense a plus
