  • AlexP: That is called remote AP (as Devinator said). With an aditional Remote AP license, those APs become VPN clients (Both PPTP and L2TP IPSec) connected to Aruba Controller as the VPN server. All the configurations (such as VPN username and password) are hashed. Furthermore, every Remote APs will have roles where you could restrict the access based on that role. So, even though some1 could get those password and username, but they cannot do anything much. If you have any questions, I am more than happy to answer it. I have been deploying Aruba gears for more than 1 year.
