  • In the Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum, it is recommended that we select channels for Access Points, in such a way that they don't overlap.

My question : Suppose I have 2 Access Point (AP), Ap1 and AP2 and 2 different channels, Channel 1 on AP1 and 2 on AP2.

A user is configured to use channel 1 for AP 1. Now if the user moves out of range of Access Point (AP 1), and enters the range for AP2, will his connection drop ?

Will the user have to manually switch over to channel 2 to retain connectivity ?

And will there be a period of no connectivity if the user has to switch from channel 1 to channel 2 ?

    Thanks

Edit :: bah .. just noticed - I had interchanged sequence and spectrum.

  • lol this seems like such a foolish question now :D

    o well, it actually is.
