Raise the antenna gain, drop the power...?

    Thanks for the replies.

    So, to sum up, you use different antennas to affect the antenna coverage pattern.

    If we talk of using two dipole antennas:

    50mw in with 3db antenna = 100mw EIRP.
    25mw in with 6db antenna = 100mw EIRP.

    If your EIRP is 100 mw and you are standing directly on a horizontal path, 50m from the antenna and within the antenna coverage area, you will receive the same signal.

    This is what I beleive and what I am trying to confirm.
