Raise the antenna gain, drop the power...?

    Guys, I really appreciate the help with this.

    I have been off doing some more research and I see where you're right.

    My thinking was that the fade would be the same if the EIRP is the same, however I like the analogy of the torch - same batteries and bulb, but a narrower beam would go further and be brighter...

    Very interesting all the same.
