  • I'm here at Networkers/Cisco-live as well. Saw Chambers blurb for three new CCNA+ certs, Security, Voice and Wireless.

But I don't quite understand a CCIE wireless. For starters, there isn't a "CCWP", as there are CCNP, CCVP, CCSP (Cisco Certified Networking/Voice/Security/* Professional). Second, while there is a lot of material on wireless, I question the need or whether there is a large-enough knowledge-base for a CCIE-Wireless. Maybe Dev and the guys here at P3 will disagree; but even the CWNE is "only" three exams. Finally, wireless topics are being covered in CCNP and CCIE-Routing and Switching; doesn't that seem more appropriate?

I kinda see the point of the CCNA+ certs, although I personally think they should count toward the CC*P; effectively, they supplant the "specialist" certifications, which consist of one or two P-level exams (i.e. a Cisco Firewall Specialist has passed the SND, SNRS and SNPA, but still has two exams to go to earn CCSP)..

    Anyway, just my thoughts.
