You're right. It will be in the errata, which you'll be happy to know is being developed at this time.
The antenna and cable on the right should definitely be included in the calculation. The result is the following calculation at calculation 2:
20 dBm ?¡é?€?¡° 3 dBm + 7 dBi ?¡é?€?¡° 83 dBm + 7 dBi ?¡é?€?¡° 3 dBm = -55 dbm
And this changes calculation 3 to:
(−94 dBm) − (−55 dBm) = 39 dBm
Finally:
SOM = 39 dBm
