First off, we use Cisco controllers running 4.2.130, and 1230s, 1240s and 1250 series access points. Also use WCS to control them.

Currently, on our production campus wireless network with no Layer 2 security, it is possible to specify a Web Policy under Layer 3 security with "Authentication" using a "Web Auth Type: External" and an external URL. This has been working great for us for some time.

On our new WPA2 Enterprise campus network, it is not possible to specify Web based Layer 3 "Authentication" security due to the WCS complaining of multiple authentication types "802.11x" and "Web".

We want to have both Layer 2 and Layer 3 authentication so we can use the latter for network access control and granular group checks.

Anyone have any suggestions other than rip the whole thing out and start from scratch? Don't want to spend six figures, either.

    Thanks in advance!
