  • jmarc,

I actually have quite a bit of experience with those particular radios. With the ARM (2.4 GHz) radio, I've gotten on over 1000' using my Dell laptop's internal 802.11a/b/g card on a node that had a 6 dBi omni. Those ARM radios are incredibly sensitive (like -100 dBm), so you've got something odd going on there.

    A few questions:

    1. What load do you have? Let's get them all up to speed with the most stable GA load. If you need the latest load, email me.

    2. What is your receive signal where you're having problems? Use a tool like inSSIDer or Netstumbler to get the -? number in dBm. Ideally, I like to keep things around -75 dBm where I want to users to connect.

    3. What is your noise floor? This one is a bit harder to determine, but a tool like wi-spy will help you determine it.

    4. What changed in the environment? Was it working at one time?

If you give us more information, then perhaps one of us might help point you in the right direction.
