Hi all- just a quick post to ask a simple question....
I am about to extend the range of an existing WLAN, and my first thought was a repeater- but the person I will be working with purchased a wireless expander- it sounds to me that it is very much the same thing, but the question is what is the difference between a wireless repeater, and a wireless expander- if any.

Sounds like a marketing label. From what I have found they look pretty much the same.

Either way they both work on the same channel as your original AP, and will cut down your maximum throughput by 50%.
