  • All the books I have read on TKIP state that by increasing the IV to 48 bits it takes longer to see the IV roll over to a previous value. Well, I do not agree with this statement. The IV which is prepanded to a 104 bit key is still 24 bits long and it will take the same amount of time to roll over as in the original Wep specification. What I think has made it more difficult to find out the key is the fact that the 104 bit key in TKIP is different for every packet. does anyone agree with me ?
