    elcomsoft claim to be able to speed up wpa cracking by up to 100 times using nvidia graphics accellertion chips..

    will this have a massive impact ?
    will it only help if you are still using pre shared key?

    Every article on this subject is so poorly written it is hard to tell what they are saying but, I guarantee that they are talking about cracking WPA-PSK. Old news.

    Gene is correct. Using the video cards only speeds up the cracking of weak keys, same story only told faster.
    These tools could be used to build a larger dictionary or rainbow table faster than CPU based construction which is useful. Moving away from PSK to non-device based mutual authentication is still a better choice for more secure networks.
