  • Passed with an 83%... not as good as I would have liked, but I didn't have a great deal of study time available....

Very well done. 83 on CWSP is very, very good. Congratulations.

  • Congratulations. What was the passing score, 80?

Kevin, I have plenty of expertise in Cisco WLAN. From your opinion, which one do you think shall I take first, CWSP or CCIE-Wireless written? Have you tried CCIE-W yourself?

  • Passing for CWSP is 70% which is why the OP's score is very admirable.

CWSP vs CCIE wireless: They aren't really even related certs. Wi-Fi security protocol and implementation expert? Take the CWSP. Cisco Wi-Fi equipment expert? Take the CCIE Wireless.

  • Hi GT,

Thanks for your response. I asked CWSP vs CCIE-W Written question just as a matter of sequence in taking the exams. My ultimate goal is to have CCIE-W (not CWNE because it is almost impossible to maintain the certification using current "continued training" rating system, you almost have to write a book every 2 years).

Anyway, I've seen some discussions suggesting CWSP as a preparation to CCIE-W written. I will take CWSP first.
