I agree with Keith "Security is an in-depth detail oriented topic with many many facets" as I study for the CISSP! My studies for the CWSP helped a great deal in preparing me toward this certification. The security field covers such a wide array of topics it is easy to loose focus due to the vast array of material to cover. And you should have a solid routing/switching knowledge base to complement your wireless skillset in preparation for a security certification.
