  • I think as time goes on, we will see more devices using WPS. I don't directly mean AP's, but client devices like security cameras and printers. More and more devices are going wireless, and whether we like it or not, many of the buyers are uneducated as to wireless. They just want it to work, and in an increasing number of cases want it to be secured.

    With that in mind, it will require more AP's and or smart home controllers to have something like WPS. People get very tired calling on a "professional" to do a one device network upgrade.

    I think one or two questions on the CWSP re WPS is appropriate - this is a professional certificate after all. How professional do you appear if you can't answer your mother-in-laws simple question about her home wireless system. It also adds a small differentiator to the test scores. I'm all for leaving it in, a small way, for now.
