Northrop Grumman has a new opening for a Joint Reserve Intelligence Center (JRIC) DIVN Subject Matter Expert (DIVN SME Position # 5) to install, operate, and maintain the Defense Intelligence VSAT Network (DIVN) at various locations in CONUS, CENTCOM AOR, and support the JRIC, DIA, and RSC missions globally.

    This position will provide pre-installation communications engineering support for implementations of satellite Demand Assigned Multiple Access (DAMA) broadband technologies, Satellite Network Management Systems, and interfaces with terrestrial communications nodes and data networks.

    This position will assist with the development of satellite communications architectures for operations mission support globally with concentration in the Middle East or the CENTCOM Area of Operations; provide post-installation communications engineering support and troubleshooting of DAMA modems, communications interfaces, Network Management Systems, and low-performing communications components.

    The engineer is required to troubleshoot all RF components on the bench; final line of testing before sending back to the factory.

    As SME this position requires direct contact and liaison activities with the Southeast RSC regarding DIVN capabilities, deployment feasibility, technical and schedule limitations and host nation approvals.

    This position requires drafting and delivering high level briefings regarding DIVN activities.

    This position requires full knowledge of communications and network test equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Fluke network Protocol Analyzer, Power meters, etc.).

    Manages and provides engineering support for all Southeast RSC terminals assigned to in SWA in accordance with DIVN Technical Guidance.

    The primary work location for this position is Orlando, Florida with travel as required to support CENTCOM missions in the field.

    The engineer must maintain medical qualifications for employment.

    Basic Qualifications for this position include:

    - Candidates must be US Citizens who hold a current active TS/SCI clearance

    - Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in RF Satellite integration, installation and operations.

    An additional 4-years experience and/or specialized training may be substituted for the degree requirement.

    - Candidates who have completed ViaSat LinkStar Comprehensive Network Operations Training Course will be given preference

    - Candidates should hold Cisco Certified Network Associate

    - Candidates should have competent software expertise in Unix (Solaris) and Linux operating systems

    - Candidates should have technical knowledge and high level expertise of DoD IP encryption device

    - High level of interpersonal communication and presentation skills

    - Significant expertise in drafting and delivering high level briefings.

    - Tactical Satellite/Microwave System Repair experience is desired - Upon hire, candidates must reside in Orlando Florida
