  • I just took a look at it and there is an OUI associated with IE 221. So, the protocol analyzer would have to know how every OS implements this. That goes for the beacons too. You have made me curious now how many devices are masquerading as a windows OS? By that I mean using Microsoft's OUI (00-50-f2) in the 221 IE. I would think this would be based on the underlying OS or hardware vendor. I suppose that is legal just interesting to think about what Microsoft uses this for. "Ferb, I know we are going to do today." Anyone with kids and the Disney channel know what I'm talking about.
