Netstumbler and cloaked SSID

    On page 52 of the Sybex CWSP Study Guide is stated that NetStumbler cannot discover the SSID from a closed network (cloaked SSID) but in the same page it states that the CWSP-Hidden2 hidden SSID could be found by NetStumbler.

    I suppose that it was possible because the CWSP-Hidden2 SSID was configured in the PC supplicant (WZC) where NetStumbler was running and probably it has done a directed Probe Request.

    Any ideas, comments?
