calculating channel overlap and throughput?

How exactly do you calculate how channel overlap degrades throughput?
Is there a calculator or something that I can use?
e.g. I have 2 access points on one channel and have a given throughput, and say I want to add a third access point on that same channel and want to figure out how much more bandwidth I get.
