calculating channel overlap and throughput?

    First question: Can the AP's "hear" each other? This is very important for the calculation.

    If yes, then all downstream (from AP) traffic is limited to a total of 20Mbps from all AP's combined.

    If yes, then upstream traffic can be a total of more than 20Mbps if the STA's on the AP's can't hear each other.

    If no (AP's can't hear each other), then it comes down to what STA's can hear which AP's on the channel.

    Your question is very complex and is a lot easier to answer with a 2 hour discussion on arbitration and channel overlap on a white board. :)
