  • Recently had the time to survey an existing WLAN with both Ekahau and AirMagnet, and was really surprised by the difference of the co-channel interference maps. I?ve always noticed that Ekahau always seems to identify much smaller areas of interference then AirMagnet, but this was just really different. The strange part here is that the inference regions identified by Ekahau always seem to be areas that my customers are complaining about, so always looked at the results as fairly accurate. On the other hand AirMagnet always includes large areas of interference at very low dB but usually do not correspond to problem areas identified by the customer. The thing here was that the areas of interference were 180? out from each other.
Just wondering others opinion of the accuracy of both products?
