  • The Energy Star program has changed its certification requirements.  Beginning next year, devices which are not re-certified will no longer be allowed to carry the logo - which itself is not changing.

    It sounds like Cisco has their own EnergyWise program, and they pretty much think that, except for a very few of their products, EnergyStar is nonsense for mains powered Wi-Fi radios.  They contend that most are always busy listening for new frames - so they are never really idle.            

    Anyone out there have any details on how other manufacturers are approaching this issue?
