Hi Criss,

I want to share a interesting scenarios about D-Link AP.
We were testing the behavior of D-Link AP for Probe Request using WLAN simulator.

If we send some wrong supported rates (which are not matching with AP)
it is sending Probe response.

If we remove the Supported Rates element IE from probe request still it is sending probe response.

Even if we remove the SSID IE completely, still it is sending probe response.

But standard clearly says those are mandatory fields.

Can you comment on this ?
