    Thanks Criss for your explanation.I have one more similar question.

    I think you might have heard about UNH-IOL (University of Hampshire - Interoperability laboratory).

    In those test cases, one of the test case is that if Authentication request has status code of 64.AP should not respond with a response.

    But Cisco responds to it and even our implementation.Is there any hidden fact in that test case?

    And one more...

    If Authentication or association has an extra Information element which is either reserved element or vendor specific. Can we reject the authentication request.

    For example i have challenge text in the authentication request but the algorithm number is 0 or says it is an open system authentication. Should we accept or reject it. (Since it is misbehaving...).

    Similarly for association request...............
