beacon frame & channel number

    I don't believe I see the channel number as a field in the beacon frame.
    1. does that mean that the beacon frame remains exactly the same whatever the channel on the AP may be?
    2. if I change just the channel on the AP, will the clients disconnect and then re-scan to find the new channel?
