Bring on the dual-frequency 4x4 MIMO APs so we can power them up!

  • Forget about the APs, I'm thinking I'm going to power my home appliances off of the power this can kick out. Now, I just need to convince my wife that I have yet another excuse to run more Cat6 around the house. :)

George, maybe you can convert your Hummer to battery power and plug it in at night when you get home and recharge its batteries.

Granted, we're going to want to start powering 802.3at-2009 switches with 220V instead of 110V. I'm willing to bet we're going to see a power conversion trend beginning in our MDFs and IDFs over to 220V in order to meet the power demands we are starting to require for VoIP deskset phones as what David said w/ our 802.11n full-power, dual-spectrum, 4x4 MIMO arrays. I'm willing to bet we're going to start to see even more end-user devices starting to power exclusively in this fashion.

    Folks, START PLANNING NOW!!!

I still waiting for that PoE electric razor that seems to be an urban myth :)

Time to call in the HVAC folks to upgrade the Central Air Conditioning too. The heat is on! I wish we could power these switches with Solar and Wind! :-)
