He isn't talking about what speed the Beacons will be transmitted, he is asking what the Supported Rates and Extended Supported Rates fields in the Beacon will show.

It is a good question and I see the point. Ideally, the new "creator" would support all ERP data rates. However, that would take a decent bit of logic to know that the other creator has left and that it can now increase supported rates to include ERP.

My guess is that the Ad-Hoc will stay in 11b mode. Govind, did you capture these packets to see what would happen?
