• Hi All !

I am a certified CWNA and planning to give my CWDP in the coming few months .

My current job role is an Infrastructure Specialist in a  customer-end organization .

So i do work on wireless, but very rarely on "greenfield deployments" or design scenarios -  which makes it difficult to get Hands-on WLAN  design experience .

In-spite of that i am trying hard to pick up information from wherever possible and clear my CWDP certification and move on to a more specialized Job-Role.

I have seen that the CWDP-302 Official guide might not be sufficient for clearing the exam .

Does anyone know if the E Learning Module is good, or worth Buying ? Will it help me gain some more info apart from the Official Certification Guide ?

Any comments on preparation for the CWDP also appreciated :)

  • Hi,

I found all official study guides a vital source of learning and passing the certification exams. At the same time official e-learning courses are also based on these guides. BTW, I passed CWDP exam few weeks ago.

  • THe elearning stuff is based on the course material used in Classroom, The self Study guide is in many parts also based on the same content but there are more discussion done in the book. Those discussions are normally done by the instructor in the ILT together with labs and demos..

  • do you have access to Ekahau ESS or airmagnet survey pro???

if so try using the planner modules utilizing different deployment scenarios, different AP's antennae patterns, wall materials, capacity requirements, attenuation areas etc etc  there is so much you can put into them, this will give you an understanding of the challenges you may face when designing a network.

however these are just a few of the requirements you will need for design not all of them,

understand the clients needs and design & validate to those specifications.

  • The e-learning materials have answers to most questions

  • Good post, thanks)
